Indi is a slot developed by Gamevy, a London-based startup company also known as G Gaming. Our heroine is supposed to be Indiana Jones' daughter Indi, inspired by the apparently unsinkable Indiana Jones movie franchise. 

Indi is in the midst of an archaeological hunt for priceless Egyptian artifacts, sporting the trademark hat and whip. Spielberg's echo is a nice touch, as the idea itself is not new and has much in common with similar explorer-themed slot games.

There are five low symbols, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10, in Indi. The grid is 6x3 with 10 paylines. The high symbols are Indi, Pharaoh, Eye of Horus, and Ra. Two flaming torches and two scarab beetles are featured in the wild symbol, which is the Book of the Scarab.

Almost inevitably, the designers chose Ancient Egyptian imagery. As a result, the reels are flanked by statues of Anubis, the dog-god, in an Egyptian temple background. Observe closely and you'll see their bodies swaying, heads and hands gently moving - all slightly spooky. They don't seem to be still at all. With nice blue counterpoints, gold is the dominant color, but not in brash hues.

Symbols are boldly drawn on the reels as well. When symbols land on a payline, they flash with extra colour and animation. In terms of the soundtrack, it is much as you might expect, with hints of the Indiana Jones theme, but in a minor key, with loud brass instruments.

Any symbol except scatter symbols can be substituted for the wild.

There are scatter symbols on the reels, including the Book of Scarab. If three or more Books appear on any reel, you will win eight free spins. In any free spin, 3 scattered Books will extend the free spin sequence by 8 additional spins. Every round begins with a symbol being randomly selected as the expanding symbol. It can then cover an entire reel and trigger some substantial wins.

In the event that a second free spins sequence is triggered, a different symbol will be chosen at random.

There is nothing wrong with Indi's effort. With such an iconic movie connection, it has a certain self-confidence, and the visuals are quite classy, neither too cartoonish nor too ominous. There aren't many bonus features in this game, which makes it a disappointment. The addition of some more interesting elements like multipliers, mystery rounds, or a wheel of fortune really wouldn't take much programming.
