The visuals

In Books & Bulls, a 5x3 reel grid is superimposed on a pleasant scene showing a cobbled street with wisteria climbing the old buildings, and a resplendent blue sky in the background. What the Symbols Mean

Books & Bulls includes ten symbols, including a Spanish senorita in a red dress, clacking castanets, wooden castanets, a red cape, a sword, and playing card icons, including 10, J, Q, K, and A.

The wild symbol depicts a dashing male waving a sword. The bullfighter appears to be fixated on the snarling bull, which is just out of view while he wears a fancy blue jacket. All other symbols in the game can be replaced by the wild to help you form winning combinations. However, the icon cannot replace the leather-bound book or the bull image (the scatters). For a maximum bet of 4,000 per spin, the wild pays 8,000 for two, 80,000 for three, 600,000 for four and 2,000,000 for all five.

A symbol holds the key to free games as well. Featuring a golden tassel, this leather-bound book is bound in brown leather. Solid pay values are associated with this icon, as well as 10 free games. For three, 80,000 for four, and 800,000 for five, the pay values are 8,000, 80,000, and 800,000.

Another special symbol is the bull, which appears in the center of a shield. In addition to paying the same as the leather-bound book, the bull also provides 10 free games. The bullfighter wild, however, becomes a sticky wild during the free games triggered by the bull.

One of the few icons that pays out for just two matching symbols is the miss symbol. For two, it pays 4,000, for three, it pays 32,000, for four, it pays 320,000, and for five, it pays 800,000.

As for the regular symbols, the red cape and the wooden castanets pay the best: 4,000 for two, 24,000 for three, 80,000 for four, and 600,000 for all five. As for the ace and king, they pay 4,000 for three, 32,000 for four, and 120,000 for five. The jack and queen pay 4,000 for three, 20,000 for four, and 80,000 for five, followed by the 10, which pays 4,000 for three, 20,000 for four, and 80,000 for five.

Bully for you?

There is a wide range of betting options available in Books & Bulls, though it requires quite a bit of cash to play. If your luck is in, you can win an absolute fortune, particularly if you can hit five of a particular symbol. In terms of gameplay, there are plenty of things to like, including solid graphics, decent animations, and two scatter symbols.

Unfortunately, the music is standard generic video slot fare and there is only five paylines, so you might have to wait a long time for a win (although you'll be rubbing your paws when it comes).
